Dog bed-dog hair-washing machine- tips please!!?

I have washed the dog bed and there is dog hair in washing machine- i will try to wipe of much of it out as i can with kitchen roll, then run a cycle. In future is there any tricks for collecting the hair in the machine with something that it will stick to whilst in the washing machine? Surely some one has some ideas...or has something been invented for this problem!

you can buy balls made of a type of velcro to put in with whatever you are washing and the fur/fluff sticks to the balls. They are usually available from $2 cheap shops and are advertised in books sent through the mail for gimickly things around the house.

What about putting the dog bed inside a larger bag, like, say, a pillow case or something like that?

I used to throw the dog blanket into the dryer FIRST just because it would help to get so much of the hair off - it collected on the lint screen - THEN I'd throw it in the washer.

DE-hair the bed before putting it in the washing machine. My Daughter has two Golden Retrievers that moult all the year round.

If you have the cash, buy a Dyson with the special pet attachment to pick up hair, strip the cover off the bed and 'suck up' the hair. It works on furniture too. Then put the cover in the washer!!!

You should put a couple of tennis balls into your washing. They'll pick up pet hairs, fluff and anything else that you don't want leaving in your machine. They'll simply brush out and rinse for later re-use.

I have this probably when I wash my dog's bed. All I need to do is wipe out as much hair as possible with kitchen roll, then I put the machine on a rinse and drain. That seems to solve the problem for me.

Take it to the laudarette and let them deal with the problem! OR remove all the hairs first either with a brush or damp towel or rubber household gloves.

I have a single duvet for my dog's bed, which cost around 鎷?.00 from Asda. I bought a single cover from a charity shop (which is actually very nice and was only 鎷?.50). The duvet doesn't hold the hairs as they are on the outside cover. I wash the cover inside out and then turn it the right way and tumble dry, which colects the hairs.

I have the same problem with my Labrador and I use the dyson turbo attachment that picks up her hair off everything, I don't know how I lived without it before
