The trends in makeup this winter are lots of color on the eye, or a smokey eye with a nude lip. Or a very light neutral eye with a red lip. Eyeliner is out this year, instead use a small angle eye brush, get it wet then dip the tip in your eyeshadow and lightly press it along your lash line, thinner on the inside of the eye, thicker on the outside.
Hair has gone slightly more voluminous, but not 80's big, not so stick straight as before, a little messy, a little wavy. Try wrapping your wet hair around 1 inch strips of an old t-shirt, tie them in a knot to hold them, then let them dry overnight. In the morning, take them out and you'll have casual messy waves, think Jennifer Anniston when she waves her hair, it looks good on all lengths.
