Hi, i am mixed raced (black/white) with bouncy spiral hair ( think scary spice in the early days but not as BIG! lol) I am looking for a box relaxer for my hair, any advice on tips on what to buy and how it might/might not work would be gratefully recieved!

You should try Revlon Realistic Relaxer or Dr. Miracles Relaxer.
I believe you have thick hair so you might need two boxes. Try the regular strength.
Make sure you did irate your scalp by scratching it the day before. Do not wash your hair before applying the relaxer. Follow the instruction exactly.
The key to relaxing your hair is the smoothing process. This is when you take your fingers or the back side of a comb and smooth the relaxer from the roots to the ends. I use a perm brush.
After applying the relaxer you will need a moisturizer for daily care of your hair. Relaxers tends to dry out the hair. Buy a bottle of Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizing Lotion.
Try not to use heated hair appliances that often after relaxing your hair. Wrap your hair up at night with a silk or satin scarf.
