I have really long, pretty hair but it is broken and it drives me crazy when there are stray hairs everywhere. I need tips on how to restore my hair!!!!!!

I hope this helps you out with your hair. Oh, and I am sorry that it is long.

Dry hair occurs when your scalp produces a less than average amount of oils to

naturally moisturize the shaft. Either you have few oil glands, or the glands produce

a low amount of oil; dry hair is not influenced by hormones. Dry hair tends to occur in

the darker shades, and it holds a style for along time. Dry hair does not respond well

to perms or coloring and will become brittle due to water loss unless great care it

taken.

1. Use a shampoo with a rich emollient that will clean and soften your hair. Look for

products like Revlon閳ユ獨 Milk Plus 6 for Dry Hair or Nexxus閳ユ獨 Assure that have protein

and balsam.

2. If you have dandruff, use a shampoo with coal tar like Denorex.

3. Naturally dry hair, unlike dry hair caused by processing or coloring, is not weak or

brittle, so you can use a conditioner that contains ingredients like ammonium salts

to make your hair soft and manageable. Look for Tame or Ivory Conditioner.

4. If the ends are extra dry, look for a conditioner with protein or balsam like

Neutrogena Conditioner or Nexxus閳ユ獨 Ensure.

5. For styling products, look for alcohol-free ones. Clairol閳ユ獨 Condition Styling Gel,

Revlon閳ユ獨 Flex Body Building Mousse are two options.

6. After you閳ユ獫e washed, conditioned, added styling product, and dried your hair, rub a

little facial moisturizer onto your palms and run them through your hair. Then brush

your hair to distribute the moisturizer.

Get salon shampoo to fix your broken hair. I don't know any products, sorry. I don't really use salon shampoo, but I know they work!

get a hair cut to trim off the damaged ends. Condition your hair and don't wash your hair everday, and don't sit out in the sun too much.

Lots of deep conditioning, lots less straightening and dyeing. There are a couple conditioners out right now that are supposed to really help fix hair, but i only really trust the salon's stuff.. they don't put in cheap additives to make the product more affordable! Good luck with your hair!

Get a trim. Doesn't have to be serious. Like half on inch or less, just to chop off those split ends.

Use a deep conditioner once a week (you can even buy a decent one at Wal-Mart). Also, get a trim regularly (every 6 weeks is good), and don't use too many products or get too many perms/highlights/straightenings. Good luck!

There is no FIX for damaged hair. Go get a haircut to get rid of the split ends. I use and reccomend Biolage shampoos and conditioners, they're a little pricey, but gentle on your hair. Also, if you blow dry or use an iron on your hair, I reccomend getting an anti-frizz protective serum that has silicone or dimethicone in it... I also use Biloage... it's called smoothing serum.

If broken hairs are the problem just get your hair trimed and you should use conditioner

Get some, hair saloon brand, of shampoo and conditioner, and make sure your water softener is working properly, so your hair gets better results.

You need a hair dressing appointment for your hair: needs to have those dead ends trimmed off. Theyll know exactly how to do it. betty

I have the same problem and i figured something out. It may not work for everybody but its worth a shot. First, it might be your shampoo, your shampoo might not be suitable for your hair and might in fact damage instead of help your hair. Second, try to rub your scalp and take daily showers. When you rub you scalp, make sure you dont use your nails, as that causes it to be worse. Third, apply conditioner and immediatly begin to comb your hair, this will help release stray hair that can irritate your scalp and cause you to damage it (through scratching). Last, make sure you dont use shampoo every day. Try using the shampoo every other day, this will help keep your hair shining (at least thats what experienced people tell me) and wont wash away the sparkliness. Good luck, hope I help...

WELL FIRST TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE ENDS OF YOUR HAIR - WHERE IT LOOK S DRY AND BRITTLE OR SIMILAR TO BROOM STRAW LOOK THAT IS HOW MUCH NEEDS TO BE TRIMMED OFF THE HAIR TO KEEP IT LOOKING GREATER. THEN TRY PANTENE PRO-RESTORATIVE OR SHINE - IT'S GREAT AND IT REALLY WORKS. KEEP YOUR HAIR SNIPPED REGULARLY AND YOU'LL BE GOOD TO GO!
