Tips on straightening hair on the first day of 7th grade?

umm... I am going to 7th grade and i'm planning to straighten my hair for the first day. My hair is black, a little past my shoulders, in layers. And I have those emo-ish side bangs. It is already naturally straight but sometimes when I wake up in the morning it gets wavy. I am planning to take a shower one the first day then straighten it but my straightener isn't the one that will straighten wet hair. Can you please give me tips to straighten my hair correctly?

step by step directions would be great :] thanks

well your hair is naturally straight so you have an easier time - but what i do (my hair is naturally curly) i shower the night before, blow dry my hair out, put bio silk oil in it (not to much) to protect it from ALL the damage a straightener does to your hair, then just straighten it the way you like it, sleeping on it will of course mess it up alittle but when you wake up all it will take is 5 mins. of fixing your already straight %26amp; dry hair, plus if you do use a flat iron on your hair alot, its better to not wash your hair EVERYday, you need to let your natural oils protect it, or it will end up falling out (not bald) but losing alot more then normal. good luck! %26amp; good luck w/school, oh what it was like to be in 7th grade ;) i miss it!

purchase a ceramic style straightener. also buy some Fructise smoothing milk. i love the way it works. but make sure not to use alot of smoothing milk because your hair will be greasy

Blow dry straight first then use flat iron. In sections of course.

just don`t turn on the flat iron like really hott. i.e. say its from 1-10 set it to a 7 or 8. 9 is the max. if you set it to a 10 and you go slow or not fast enough you might burn your hair and it will smell bad an dyou will get split ends!

ok take your shower

then grab a blowdryer holding from the top of your head so the air blows downwards toward your hair and blow dry it until its dry

then put your hair in sections and iron it.

Blow dry it straight with a big round brush

Ok, wash it, dry it, I like to put moose in my hair because its thick before I dry it, then once you have fully dried it, use the hot iron and do your hair in sections... bottom layers and work your way up...

Heh, I'm goin into 7th too.

Hm...try using the hair straightener and some pomade.

You have to either get the wet to straight flat iron or not take a shower in the morning take it the night before. You will not have enough time in the morning to take a shower let your hair dry and then straighten it unless you start getting ready for school at 4am.

after you get out of the shower put your hair in a towel for a little bit to ring out the water. Do that while you eat breakfast or do you makeup, whatever. Then blow dry your hair while using your hairbrush to straighten it (brushing it downwards). After that split your hair into sections and slowly straighten it. You may need to get up earlier to allow yourself extra time since your testing how long it will take. Good luck!

well u probable shouldnt take a shower the morning of school then, unless u blowdry ur hair. wat i do wen i straighten my hair is..

1. do my bangs in the bront first because my hair isnt so thick in the front

2. put the back of my hair in a clip, leaving a little bit down

3. straighen the back, take a little bit more out of the clip then straighen

4. repeat until u have all ur hair done

the end

(ur hair sounds really cute!! im gonna get mine cute like that i think)

Blow dry your hair and then just straighten it there is really nothing to it. Just run it through from top to bottom slowly but don't hold it on to long or else it will damage your hair even more than it already is.

If u do take a shower that day then blow dry it and while ur blow drying it brush it and put the blow drier on low. And if that doesn't work then wake up earlier. I would try these out before the day B/c that's what I do to make it look Perfect. Or u can take the shower before u go to bed and straighten it before u go to bed to. and in the morning just straighten over it to take some bumps out from ur rest that night. : )

You need to blowdry your hair first until it is completely dry, and then Iron it with a straightening iron (not your moms clothes iron) lol, then use some straightening balm to get rid of those few flyaways. Gloss drops can make hair look really shiny too. You can get all of this stuff at your local drug store, but I recommend getting your straightner from a salon, because they get a lot hotter which makes them easier to use. Good Luck!

I have that same problem. Usually I take a shower before I go to bed and let my hair dry. Then I straighten my hair when it's dry and go to sleep. This makes it less staticy. Once I wake up I run my straightener through it again incase I developed some weird waves over night. Usually I seperate my hair when I straighten it and do small parts at a time. Use a dryer sheet to control frizz.

You should invest in a wet-dry striaghtener though. I have a Remington wet to dry (at least I think that's what it's called), Usually after I straighten it wet it doesn't get completely dry and I have to wait about a half hour for it to be totally dry and I run the straightener through again.

Ok wake up early enough. Take your shower and put your hair in a towel for a little while. Let it absorb some of the water. Take off the towel and brush the tangles out and let it air dry for a little bit. Then just use your dryer to dry your hair. Don't worry about drying it straight and all. Then section your hair off and straighten it in small strands. It sounds like a lot but it isn't. Your hair will be purty. :) You can also do what I said the night before just wait until the morning to straighten it. Good luck! :)

Tips on straightening hair on the first day of 7th grade?

1. Shower.

2. Apply Heat Protectant Cream/Serum

3. Blow Dry

4. Heat A Ceramic Straightener (Less Damaging)

5. Straighten Hair in Sections (about 1 Inch is what I do)

- Start at the front, and the side your most comfortable with. This'll help you get the hang of it.

- Get help with the back if you can't handle it

- Use clips to keep the straight parts from mixing with the wavy ones

6. Apply a little pomade to where ever it's frizzy, and a tiny bit smoothed along your hair.

Tips on straightening hair on the first day of 7th grade?

okay, wake up early early

take a shower and wash your hair

towel dry your hair

in the meantime pick out your cloths or go eat

then blow dry your hair until its crazy dry

put half of your hair up

oh, your straightner should be hot by this time

then take small parts of your hair and from the root straighten your hair slowely until the tips.

make sure you dont touch your scalp, it might burn.

do that all around the lower level

then take part of your hair that is up and leave the other part still up

take that part and do the same, straighten it

do this until all your hair is straight

when all your hair is down then go through it and straightn different parts evenly all around

your hair might be frizzy but you can always put hairspray over it when done. dont put too much.

have fun at school and make sure you make the other girls gelous since youv got hot hair

Tips on straightening hair on the first day of 7th grade?

wake up with enough time to take a shower and let your hair dry.

turn on the straightener before you get in the shower

(hotter straightener, straighter hair)

If you dont want to wake up earlier...sleep is good

just use a hair dryer then straighten hair.

Tips on straightening hair on the first day of 7th grade?

blow dry it straight but make sure your blow dryer has a cool air setting so you hair will look better. if it is still a litte wavy do some finishing touches with your straightener

Tips on straightening hair on the first day of 7th grade?

If your straightener isn't for wet hair, rather wash your hair the night before and let it dry over night.

"Next day" washed hair is more controllable, less frizzy and bouncy.

The next morning when your hair is dry, separate it into layers. (I put half of it unto the top of my head with a clip, and do the bottom half hanging.)

It is important that you get a product to use when you straighten.

A special one designed for thermal care is best, as it protects in the long run, but also leaves your hair smelling fresh. Or else your hair smells burnt and becomes frizzy.

Next, only straighten little bits at a time, dont try and do a whole thick patch, it wont work to well.

When your done with the bottom half, let a little more down and repeat.

Continue, until your done with all the hair.

Leave it to cool a little before tying back, or simply leave hanging loose.

If your hair is dry and the lenght you describe it should take about 30-40mins to straighten. More if its wet.

For a little extra touch I always spray a little perfume in my hair, just to leave it smalling fresh as well.

Hope this helps and good luck in the 7th grade.

aww ur goin into 7th grade have funn umm my advice is blow dry then use the studio line hot straight by loreal the one beyonce used to endorce then ironit

Tips on straightening hair on the first day of 7th grade?

you could just take a shower the night before and straighten it in the morning, that will also save time.. but if you really want to take a shower that morning, blow dry and straighten it by layers (put your hair in a half pony then blow dry the hair thats lose/loose w.e lol, and straighten it, then let some more hair down and do the same)
