my hair is thick so I do sections at a time. I first pin up half of all my hair and work in sections. I use a spray that reduces damage from the heat of the metal. Then you just... put your hair in the striaghtner and straighten!

Just be careful not to burn yourself. Don't go to close to your head and DON"T FORGET THE BACK, haha. I had a friend do that, it was so funny.

if ur hair is naturally somewhat straight or very loose waves ,wash it condition it and apply some straightening lotion or serum of your choice.let it air dry.first part ur hair from ear to ear, then down the center.you should have four sections of hair.Start with the back sections.Take lil pieces of hair from each section and pass the straight iron over it.If your hair is curly u are gonna have to work really hard.lol.my hair is curly and I usually blow dry it myself or roller set and then flat iron it.Then i put it in a wrap with bobby pins overnight. But i know how to do it cuz i worked at a salon.Try to blow dry it as best as you can with a big round brush then follow the steps above.

It depends how thick your hair is or how curly. If it's very thick or curly then you'll want to take small sections at a time and run it through two or three times.
Don't put it on the highest heat, keep it towards the middle or middle/high.
Don't do it when you're hair is wet at all, because it'll burn off and you'll get fly-aways.
Tilt the straightener slightly in if you want it to curl in at the bottom. If you do it the right way you won't need any other products.
The first time you do it I wouldn't use any products at all before using it because it might burn your hair. Good luck!

I also have extremely thick hair and like others have said the best way is to section it off. Pin some of it up with a clip or I usually use hair schruchi's, and get a straightning hair spray it really helps, and then just make sure that you start from the roots.
